The basic purpose of the prestigious ORDER OF EASTERN STAR, a people caring and sharing Fraternal Organization. We firmly believe in the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of mankind. That belief is translated into our daily action toward our fellowman.
We endeavor on a daily basis to administer to the poor and needy in our society and not ever to exclude the sick, distressed and disabled among us. We are on a special mission to seek out those who need our aid and assistance.
We are proud of our Organization and the membership who work hard continuously to keep it a viable vehicle that will remain strong in human services.
Tolerance and Patience are two requirements that are essential in gaining self-satisfaction in controlling the re-production of our lives. These essentials are not practiced any where are extensively as it is done in the Order of Eastern Star.
The HEADQUARTERS, of our organization is chartered as INTERNATIONAL FREE AND ACCEPTED MODERN MASONS, INC. and ORDER OF EASTERN STAR, and its location is 2101 Gratiot Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48207.
The STARS OF ILLINOIS, of our Organization is chartered as LILLIAN GILL GRAND CHAPTER, and The MASONS OF ILLINOIS of our Organization is chartered as THE WILLIAM V. BANKS GRAND LODGE. Our Grand Hall is located at 5323 West Lake Street in Chicago, Illinois 60644.
We have lodges and chapters throughout the state of Illinois.
