Year 2000 Newsletter

From time to time we are reminded that our days are getting shorter, because we leave so much undone. But yet it does not altar the fact that we must take time to give praises to God from whom all blessings flow; time for learning, time for excitement, and a rewarding time for which we are most grateful. However, the best is yet to come with your earnestly continuous support as we go forward into a new millennium. Let it be a time for us to reaffirm our commitment to our fraternal charge in the Year 2000. With best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year.
As Christian believers, we did not think too much about the Y2K GLITCH, because we know who controls the Universe and all that dwells therein. Each of us also know that, the Order Of Eastern Star is a charitable, benevolent and educational society whose members believe in a Supreme Being, its principles are proclaimed as wide as women can hear,. Its only secrets are in methods of recognition and of symbolic instructions. If you have a friend who is not in our Order, share these thoughts with her. Let her read our quarterly newsletter the "SOURCE". Our self motivation should be: "TO BE ONE, I MUST BRING IN ONE" and - Keep The Spirit Moving.
I take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to the many of you for making the Order of Eastern Star of the Lillian Gill Grand Chapter so great. It would not have been possible for us to survive into this New Millennium without your faithfulness - because of all of your assistance, dedications, devotion, and above all your love for this beautiful sisterhood. As we embark into this new Millennium, let us not forget all of those brothers and sisters from our past who worked so hard to keep our state afloat, without their importantly, it would not have been possible for us to flourished.
The Grand Master and I as heads of the State are still committed to communicating together. We find ourselves acknowledging that God will continue to bless all of us, as we continue working in His vineyard, and give us as He did David, the desires of our hearts. Our desire is that we all remain steadfast, work together as one, to accomplish all of our goals and objectives.
